New Rivium

New Rivium

New development of an iconic residential tower in the New Rivium, Capelle aan den IJssel.

Novaform and Zuiver Vastgoed Groep are developing an iconic residential tower in the most beautiful spot in the New Rivium. Novaform has recently took a 50% share in the development of this ambitious project at the shores of the Maas River, an initiative of partner Zuiver Vastgoed Groep. The residential building will be located next to historic restaurant “the Zalmhuis” and is part of the New Rivium in Capelle aan den IJssel, near Rotterdam, an office area being refurbished into a multifunctional residential neighborhood.

The new building will be an icon on the river banks, with more than 550 apartments, partly owner-occupied and partly rental apartments. The size of the development combined with the position in the Rotterdam skyline, make this scheme one of the most special residential developments in the Netherlands. The total area is approximately 55,000 sq m GFA; square meters to which Novaform and Zuiver Vastgoed Groep will add value in their characteristic way. This also applies to the 2,000 m2 on the ground floor, with opportunities for bars, restaurants and other commercial activities. The ambition is to create a vibrant area at street level, creating a visual and functional connection with the River. From the apartments, residents will have a beautiful view of the river, the bridges and the skyline of Rotterdam.

Zuiver Vastgoed Groep acquired the location in 2019 with a view to redevelop. NL real estate - Knight Frank advised them in the entire commercial process and recommended Novaform as the ideal partner. The reason for choosing Novaform is the extensive experience with ambitious inner-city projects, coupled with thorough knowledge and innovation in the engineering phase. For Zuiver Vastgoed Groep, these are valued qualities to add to their pioneering spirit and entrepreneurship. With urban planning finalising this year, the developers are all set to finish the design proces and start construction next year.
