UvA sells Herengracht 286 in Amsterdam
The UvA (University of Amsterdam) has sold its monumental university building (freehold) to three private investors. The monumental building (c. 2,100 sq m floor area) built in 1921 as the headquarters of the Deli-Batavia Tobacco Society has been designed by architect Van Gendt. The University has used the iconic building since 1965 for the purpose of the Art History Institute and the Art History Library. These two users have moved to a new location in the center of Amsterdam.
NL real estate and Van Doorne have advised the University of Amsterdam during the sales process.
